Collage + Mixed Media Animal Composition
Mixed Media: Using more than just one medium (pen, paint, paper, ink, pencil...) to create a work of art.
Collage: a piece of art made by sticking various different materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric onto a backing.
For this project, you will be creating a collage of an animal's face and then painting a mixed media background with oil pastels and tempera paints.
To do this project effectively, you should work from a photograph of an animal and use a transfer technique to move the drawing over onto a larger piece of paper.

We will spend approximately three weeks on this project, and it is worth 200 points.
